Goodbye From Yellow Cab of Prince William County

As 2025 came to a close, we said goodbye to something that’s been part of our everyday lives for almost 49 years.

After a lot of thought (and a lot of emotions), we’ve decided to sell the cab company. This was never just work. It was early mornings and late nights, phones ringing during family dinners, and traveling millions of miles just to make sure people got where they needed to go safely.

This business grew up with our family. There was a time my dad slept on a cot in the back room of the old Triangle office just to catch a few hours of rest. We did the same through new software launches, hurricanes, snowstorms and just to be close as an end was near. Years later, my own kids slept on the floor of our current office during a snowstorm while I took the grandkids to meet Mickey. That’s just how life was — messy, busy, exhausting, and honestly… pretty special. This business gave us opportunities we might never have had otherwise.

We’ve seen it all and were hands on for most of it — overnight shifts, fixing cars in a gravel lot, watching the industry change from two-way radios to tablets, GPS, and tap-to-pay. Staying on top of technology with the help of great friends. Millions of miles covered by our dedicated drivers Hundreds of drivers and employees. Thousands of customers. So many stories. So many memories.

Our drivers and employees became so much more than coworkers. You became family. We leaned on each other, laughed together, pushed through hard days, and celebrated the good ones. That’s the part that makes this the hardest.

And to our customers — thank you. Thank you for trusting us year after year, for the conversations, the familiar voices, the loyalty, and for letting us be part of your daily lives. We’re really going to miss those talks.

We’re feeling everything right now — sad, proud, grateful, and also hopeful for what’s next. We wish the very best to the new owners as they take the wheel, and continued success to the drivers that will keep the wheels rolling. We truly believe it’s in good hands.

This goodbye is bittersweet, but we are so thankful for the journey, the memories, and every person who made this wild, wonderful adventure with us.

Happy New Year! May 2026 bring you all you dream of!!
